From food and beverage production and authenticity to the determination and reduction of harmful chemicals in what we consume and even the air we breathe, LCGC and Spectroscopy have gathered experts to tackle all sides of the issues. Join us for a two-day virtual symposium, presented jointly by both magazines, on Advances in Food & Environmental Analysis. This event, to be held Tuesday, November 28 and Wednesday, November 29, explores the chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques currently being used for evaluation in these areas.

Event Overview:
LCGC and Spectroscopy magazines are pleased to present a joint virtual conference on November 28 and 29, 2023, on advances in food and environmental analysis. In this year’s symposium, wise and experienced experts present tutorials on analytical techniques rooted in both chromatography and spectroscopy, including two-dimensional liquid chromatography (2D-LC), electrospray ionization– and inductively coupled plasma–mass spectrometry (ESI-MS and ICP-MS, respectively), solid-phase microextraction (SPME), and infrared (IR) and Raman spectroscopy, all with practical uses in determining what’s in what we eat, drink, and breathe.
Each day, the morning sessions will include a series of 30-minute talks, followed by an interactive question-and-answer (Q&A) period with all the speakers to address audience questions. In the afternoon, leading instrument suppliers will give 20-minute talks discussing troubleshooting, tips-and-tricks, and applications.
We wish to extend a special thank you to Ellen Miseo, Jerry Workman, and Alasdair Matheson for their help in organizing the speakers.
