NEWS RELEASE: Three Metal Analysis Technologies Now Offered by Eastern Applied
Buffalo, NY – Organizations with metal analysis needs will now have a single source for multiple metal verification technologies. Already a distributor of Oxford Instruments x-ray fluorescence (XRF) analyzers for coating thickness and elemental analysis needs, Eastern Applied Research is pleased to now offer the industry leading Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) and Optical Emission Spectroscopy (OES) technologies.
The three technologies offer different benefits to the primary alloy analysis needs of scrap metal sorting and positive material identification. Some users will benefit from the one second identification capabilities that LIBS technology offers, while others will want the elemental quantification and ease-of-use that XRF provide, and other users will look to OES technology to meet their light element quantification interests.
“We have been extremely pleased with the response our clients have had to the performance, reliability, and ease-of-use that the Oxford Instruments line provides,” said Shawn Kramer, Chief Executive Officer of Eastern Applied Research. “We are excited to expand our role with the line and expand the technologies that we can offer for metals testing.”
Both of the new technologies, LIBS and OES, are offered as portable metal analysis systems. The mPulse LIBS analyzer provides accurate alloy grading in a single second and is revolutionary in the fact that it is currently the only portable system based on LIBS technology. Oxford Instruments is also a leading provider of mobile OES technology, with their PMI-Master and Test-Master systems providing an industry leading price-to-performance ratio.
In addition to sales of metal analyzers, Eastern Applied Research provides over twenty years of experience offering service and support to spectrometer users. The organizations Western New York service center includes an accredited standards laboratory that provides certified reference materials and certification services.
