September 1st 2018This article illustrates experience with some new developments in IR spectroscopy, with examples of how this traditional field continues to explode into new territory, enabling rapid acquisition of huge data sets on the one hand, while permitting exploration of chemical composition of targets with nanometer-scale spatial resolution on the other.
